Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased both online and on-site at the Visitors Center, where cash and credit card payments are accepted. The entrance fee for Petra Light Festival is 33JD (46$) and it’s not included in Petra’s day ticket. Entry is only permitted to valid tickets.

Should I buy my ticket in advance?

Yes, It is recommended to buy tickets in advance to secure limited availability and to plan your visit on a date that is convenient for you.

Can children take part in the experience?

The experience is appropriate for all audiences, including children. However, there is a 1.5km night walk to reach the treasury, so we do not recommend visitors under the age of 5, and babies in arms cannot be admitted.

What can I expect from the Petra Light Festival?

Petra Light Festival is an enchanted 1.5 km night walk through an immersive experience of light and music in the Siq, followed by a magical show of 3D mapping projections on the Treasury by world-renowned artists.

What time should I arrive?

If you wish to see the 20:40 show, please arrive at the Visitor's Center by 20:00 to start your walk.

If you wish to see the 21:40 show, please arrive at the Visitor's Center by 21:00 to start your walk.

If you wish to see the 22:40 show, please arrive at the Visitor's Center by 22:00 to start your walk.

What happens if I arrive late?

Simply wait for the next show.

What happens if it rains?

The event will take place regardless of the weather. In the case of extreme adverse weather conditions, there may be restrictions on which areas are operational. It is recommended to stay informed about any updates through our Petra Light Festival Facebook or Instagram pages.

Are there restrooms available near the show spot?

No, please make sure to visit the rest room at the Visitors Center.

Is the experience accessible to people with reduced mobility?

Yes: Petra treasury is rated as partially accessible by PDTRA.

Is there any seating available at the show spot, or is it standing room only?

Due to the sensitivity of the archeological site, its standing room only.

Are there any food or drink options available at the festival?

Yes, only at the visitors center, no food and drink is permitted after and beyond the Siq passage.

Can I attend if I have epilepsy?

We would like to warn photosensitive individuals that there are brief flashes of light used during the experience.

Can I take photos or videos during the show?

Yes, we encourage it!
